Since its inception in 1994, Interpal has, together with its local partners, supported thousands of Palestinians through projects aimed at alleviating poverty, providing health care, advancing education, and fostering community development. Interpal supports beneficiaries across the Gaza Strip, West Bank, Lebanon and Jordan.
Interpal has 4 main areas of activity: Humanitarian Aid (including water aid); Medical Assistance; Education; and Community Development
Emergency Humanitarian Aid
Emergency Aid remains a key focus of our mission, as we work tirelessly throughout the year to deliver food, water, shelter, clothing, and medical aid. This extends to seasonal support during the Ramadan and Qurbani (sacrifice) periods of the Islamic calendar.
Medical Assistance
Medical facilities in Gaza and the West Bank are stretched beyond efficient functionality. Interpal distributes funds to these areas (as well as to refugees in Lebanon and Jordan), and purchases life-saving medical equipment; establishes specialized medical units; and provide healthcare subsidies to those most in need.
Educational Support
Through our commitment to educating and empowering individuals, we dedicate significant attention and funds to keeping children and young adults in education: through direct assistance to schools and universities; and through financial aid for the neediest of students.
Community Development
Self-sufficiency is key to community development and Interpal supports orphanages, welfare centres for the elderly and disabled, and Qur’an Tahfiz (memorisation) schools. We also support the development and protection of sites of religious and cultural significance, thus protecting Palestinian heritage.
