This Dhul Hijjah, how will you remember Palestine?
Dhul Hijjah is a time of religious devotion, a time for us to remember the sacrifice and obedience that Prophet Ibrahim (AS) showed to Allah (SWT) above all others.
On the tenth day we observe Eid al Adha, and mark our obedience to Allah SWT with sacrifice and celebration.
This Eid Al Adha, as you celebrate or complete your religious rites, we ask you to remember your brothers and sisters in the holy land who remain in urgent need.
Just a few weeks ago, the Gaza Strip came under relentless aerial bombardment by Israel. Hundreds of Palestinians were killed and a further 1,600 injured.
People across Lebanon are facing a devastating economic crisis and worsening food insecurity, while refugees in Jordan struggle to afford basic necessities.
This is the best time to show solidarity and kindness to our Palestinian brothers and sisters. As the humanitarian crisis they face worsens, we can let them know that they have not been forgotten.
