Zakat Calculator

Zakat is an obligatory giving for Muslims. It needs to be paid once a year, on any wealth that you did not use in the year (i.e. savings, investments, etc).

The amount you have to pay in Zakat is calculated as 2.5% of your wealth above the “Nisaab” threshold – that’s the value of 595 grams of Silver. If your total wealth is less than the value of Nisaab, you do not have to pay Zakat.

Calculating your Zakat couldn’t be easier. Simply enter details of your assets, savings and expenses in the boxes below, and we’ll help you work out how much Zakat you need to pay.

What you own
Total Assets  £0.00
What you owe
Total Expenses  £0.00
Is Zakat Due?

If your total assets minus your total liabilities is more than £225.10*  Zakat will be obligatory on you.

*Zakat is obligatory on all Muslims who are in possession of surplus wealth for a full lunar year, exceeding the monetary value of 595 grams of Silver, which currently stands at £225.10 (last updated 19-03-2023 23:27). This value fluctuates slightly every day.
